Jinglebell 5K: Somerville, MA

Huge New England NACHO event with 11 NACHOs running and celebrating the holiday season with santa hats and beer! The Somerville races are huge, with close to 5000 runners...so the fast times were very impressive! Great job crew - with PRs and lots of NACHOs making their debut! Keep up the hard work into 2011! Angel Island 12K Trail Run: Tiburon, CA

Anne flew out to California to chill with Geri for the weekend...and why not throw in a couple of races! Geri was totally bad-ass, racing this incredibly difficult trail run 6 days after running the California International Marathon in 3:43. The girls drove from Davis down to San Fran for this event, parking in Tiburon and taking a chilly ferry to the island. The girls brought attention to NACHO right off the bat, with Anne leading the entire race field in the Star Spangled Banner before the start due to the fact that she had travelled the farthest to attend the race! With a NACHO shirt, the girls quickly became known as the “singers from Boston who like cheese!”. They both did very well, with Anne finishing in 1:08, and Geri right behind in 1:09. Great job ladies! Check out the photos!

Christmas Relays: San Francisco, CA

After celebrating the strong finishes at the trail run the DAY BEFORE by drinking with the Golden Valley Harriers, the girls drove back down to San Fran for more racing! The girls met up with some awesome ladies from the GVH to race in the San Fran xmas relays: a competitive 4 x 4.45M event. All participants (including Geri’s dog, Rose!), dressed for the occasion! Check out the photos! Great race, good times!

Santa Hustle 5K: Chicago, IL

On Dec 4th, Megan, Lonnie, Betsy, Julie, Greg, and Kim ran the Santa Hustle 5k in Chicago. Conditions were snowy and slippery (therefore slow), but the NACHO team donned their beards and santa hats with pride to plow through and earn the cookies and candies waiting for them at the aid stations along the way! Congrats to Megan, Lonnie, Julie, Greg, and Kim on their debuts as NACHO runners!! Check out thephotos!
