Cambridge 5K: Yulefest
Great job to the NACHOs who got in the holiday spirit by racing 5K and drinking (from what looks like a LOT of) beer this weekend that the Cambridge 5K Yulefest race. NACHO placed 15th out of 57 teams (!!) with the top scorers of Jon, Jefferson and Gretchen - way to go, guys!! And for the "mystery nachos" who ran in the race - thanks for stepping up and taking the numbers of the injured and away...let us know what number you ran with and we'll update your name!

2012 Alexandria (VA) Turkey Trot
Patrick and Mary finally have woken up from their thanksgiving-induced food coma to share with the world about their turkey trot results. Last Thursday, the Boggses decided to justify eating the extra servings of turkey and mushroom risotto by running a 5-miler that was near their Thanksgiving destination: the Alexandria Turkey Trot. They have previously done this race before, back in 2009 (Mary had finished in 46:29 while Patrick finished in 38:27 back then). Now, three years older and faster, they both shattered their 2009 times. Patrick finished in 37:45 (placing 305th overall, 90th in his age group) while Mary finished in 39:25 (488th overall, 44th in her age group). It should be noted that the results claim there were 4,247 finishers that included semi-pro racers, baby strollers, and dogs on leashes. Ahh... success and turkey never tasted so good.

Boston Run Summit
Wanted to share a very cool event that is being held in Boston this weekend. The Boston Run Summit is bringing together local running clubs in a social setting, complete with a live band and nerdy runners!

Congrats to our brave, festive NACHOs who donned tights and mustaches to rock the Superhero 5K! Finishing 3rd out of 18 teams, the WWF Wrestlers and Ring Girls covered the 3.1 miles with smiles...I think the photos speak for themselves!

Cambridge Oktoberfest 5K
Huge showing for the NACHO AC at the 2nd annual Cambridge 5K! Team NACHO dominated the 83 teams with a strong 6th place finish, and NACHO Katie finished in the top 10 for women overall!!
All enjoyed the post-race festivities with beer and pretzels in the rain, followed by an after party at Matt's house where they witnessed history with the Red Bull Space Jump. A pretty epic day had by all!
