Run to Remember Half Marathon, Boston MA
Neither rain, nor wind, nor cold could keep these determined NACHOs from racing 13.1 miles through the city streets of Boston and Cambridge! Congrats to the NACHOs who completed this course in less than ideal conditions! Word got back from spectators that there was a large NACHO presence at this event - well done!
Freedom Run 5K, Cambridge MA
Bring on the beer drinking!! NACHO did not disappoint in this component of the event, and definitely celebrated at the post race party! Leading up to the party, there were some great performances as well. A special kayak challenge kicked off the event, with Brian and Brad representing NACHO in the 0.75 mile Charles River kayak race. The times from this event were added to their 5K times for the awarding of the Glen Doherty Cup. Brian finished 3rd in the challenge and Brad was 17th, finishing the kayak race in 9:28 and 10:23, respectively. This kayak race was also the debut of the NACHO Flag, something that I bet we'll see a lot of in the future! (Big thanks to Kevin for running the 5K race with the flag!)
Once the kayak portion was done, it was time to race! Joined by a large group of NACHOs, the team had a great showing, placing 4th out of 33 teams! Well done everyone!! Although the team missed out on the trophies for FASTEST runners (top 3 teams were honored), the group did walk away with some hardware - Derek, Brian and Brad were crowed "men's costume winners" with their outfits that definitely channeled the theme of the day: FREEDOM! More pictures from the day can be found here.

Here we go, more NACHOs kicking butt!
May 2nd: Boston 5K Summer Series #1, Cambridge MA
In this "new" summer series, we had a number of NACHOs ringing in the summertime with some fast times! Curt (who was nursing an injury) headed up the team with a PR in the 5K finishing in 19:15 (that's a 6:12/mile pace!). Close behind was was Derek B with a quick 21:25! Megan B rocked the NACHO orange in a fast 25:53, and Gretchen and Kevin were right on her heels in 26:08 and :09. Apparently NACHO was scored as a team, but we couldn't find those results...if anyone has them, please let us know!
May 4th: Rotorua Marathon, Rotorua New Zealand
An impressive showing by one of our Kiwis, Maurice, in his big spring (or is it fall?) marathon, finishing in a very solid 4:49:07!!!
May 5th: Pittsburgh Half Marathon, Pittsburgh PA
A big congrats to Chris B for his new PR in the half marathon, breaking 2 hours and representing NACHO with a impressive 1:59:49! We're proud of you Chris!
